March On Ottawa 2011: July 1st, Canada Day! - Planning Update 1

Just a head's up, some feelers have been put out in Toronto and Ottawa to fellow truth seekers (or truthers) and there's interest in taking back our capital on Canada Day this year. As more people get involved the details will change, but some of the initial planning being discussed.includes who to invite, what to do and how to do it.

1. Who To Invite

We can invite everybody who's working on anything related to problems caused by globalization, or the new world order, including 9/11 truthers fighting for our civil rights being taken away, health freedom advocates, anti-poverty groups and more. With the big picture in mind, we can invite everybody in Canada to join in too.

2. What To Do

We can do whatever people want, like inform as many people as possible about why we're doing it beforehand, inform as many people in Ottawa as we can so our federal civil servants and their friends know what's up to improve policy for years to come, and use this event as a springboard for more activism before and after it.

3. How To Do It

We can promote it on and offline and send out weekly email updates beforehand, hold peaceful demonstrations to preserve our free speech, demarcate the City of Ottawa into regions where we put up posters and drop off flyers, wear t-shirts that identify our beliefs and still chill out with others having a good time, and much more.

4. Hypothesis 1

We know shadow government members control of most institutions, but they can't be too obvious about who they are. That's how lots of great rare mainstream news and policy gets out. If we inform everybody in Ottawa about what's up, more civil servants can incrementally push their bosses for better policy and get some for us.

5. Hypothesis 2

We know many Canadian truthers feel isolated where they live, but if they work with people across Canada on MOO 2011, they can say it and most people will accept or respect it. It can help energize people to trade ideas nationally and get active locally and lead to a strong summer finish in the info war before it gets cold again.

6. Hypothesis 3

We know millions of people worldwide are awake to the new world order based on online traffic, so many in Canada may want to talk about it offline and openly to help others reject bad ideas and make better choices. By making fighting the info war for Canada something patriotic to do on Canada Day, more Canadians may get into it.

There are probably at least a thousand Canadians working on the big problems with globalization we face, like the control of Canada by international banks and other institutions that affect every aspect of our lives. Beyond traditional activism, which rarely looks into the role of big banks, big finance, big foundations, international institutions and more, they share info about the 9/11 attacks, fluoride, vaccines, other health risks and more esoteric aspects of the system that we all live in.


While no two people on earth agree on everything, everyone can learn something new about where they live, or just see if something is worth learning. Like anything else, what we do with what we learn is important. If we habitualize a weak or non-response, we'll get used to what we learn. If we each make smarter choices and figure out how to find our voice for freedom, we can figure out how to translate what we know so everyone around us can easily see what's worth looking into.

Sometimes I ask people who they admire since it may help us live in a world worth admiring. Sometimes the answer is a sports star or celebrity. Sometimes others. Sometimes it's historical figures. Sometimes there's no answer. Today, many people think there aren't many people worth admiring the way we used to anymore.

Posters & Flyers

.

People have always shared info with others where they live about important issues using word of mouth, newsletters, handbills and more. With today's technology, it's now easier than ever to make even complex topics easy to understand and recommend sources where people can learn more on their own if they want to.

These posters and flyers are mostly in MS PowerPoint format. They are public domain and open source universal templates meant to be downloaded and adapted for local use by anybody anywhere in the world. The text and pictures can be changed for printing and sharing with family, friends, neighbours and everyone else.

Since we're probably in a recession, they're also very cost-effective. They come in full 8.5" x 11" versions to be printed in black and white, or 2, 3, 4, 6, 8 and 10 to a page versions. Here in Toronto, they can be printed for just 3-cents per one-side of black and white page, then cut-up cleanly at Kinko's for just $1 per cut.

Printing using the original MS PowerPoint (or other) format provides the best quality resolution, plus the "Scale To Fit Paper" setting means no extra border is created. People can also proof copies first using the Free Primo .PDF maker (or other) before bringing the final product to the printers on a CD or USB Memory Key.

For example, with the 6 per page versions, you can make around 3000 for $20 to share how you'd like. While people know a lot, since we all don't know the same things, these calm and peaceful but still public acts of dissent appear to be appreciated. People can take the info to digest and reflect on it at their leisure.

Businesses can also leave small flyers near the counter, or put small posters in their windows, or wherever's convenient. There's no need to start conversations about it. Employees can just say the info is there for people to take if they want. Copies of great documentaries on dvd have also worked well to help inform people.

Marketers know that changing people usually involves changing something in our environment. Everyone can do and think what they want, but if people who look into issues calmly and consistently share good info using posters, flyers and dvd's, then others can see if it's valuable and make better choices to improve their lives.

Canadians need to see other Canadians doing things successfully to inspire them not to feel apathetic. People are polite and busy, so it's good to respect that, but also to react to rising prices, health risks and more. We can get better policy by informing more people in and out of government so they know what to reject and ask for.

Once people find their voice for freedom, the next step is expressing it. This can be done in many ways. But, if people don't want to talk about a topic, but you think it's still important for them to look into it, simply offer them a small piece of paper or dvd and leave it at that. Since they can see you're serious, they may check it out.

This idea is based on a successful event in 2008, details are below in the initial correspondence to help plan this years. BTW, Committees of Correspondence were used for 10 years by the Founding Fathers and others before the American Revolution in 1776. People would write letters, post handbills, organize meetings and figure out how to ask for and then fight for what they wanted as citizens. While we don't have to copy their efforts exactly, we can use this helpful hint from history with even better technology today.

Hey Matt,

Thanks for the enthusiasm, it's helpful and needed today and I'm sure infectious if it gets out there. If things get worse economically and politically, as-predicted, we should get more interest from Canadians of all sorts in the next MOO to show solidarity in truth, express how we feel and blanket Ottawa in flyers and dvd's that could affect the people who affect policy for years to come. July 1st is a Friday, so we can hold a rally at Parliament Hill on that day and spend the rest of the weekend truth-actioning the City while partying at night. If we can help get 1000 to 10,000 people there, then we can make a massive impact on the country's public consciousness in the run-up to it, there and after it as well. 

Projects that are this big and fun are hard to dismiss as a waste of time, especially after the success of MOO 2008, so we shouldn't have trouble getting it past the spooks and cynics. It can also re-energize people and help them focus and organize locally beforehand while they feel better as part of a bigger national goal. It could blow up on Facebook with the right people managing communications too. To start, let's get the domain name MarchOnOttawa.com (which is available) or .org if you have it, then build a simple website. We can provide the initial content and get more help soon. Once this project starts, it can serve as a major counter-propaganda point for people to reference and look forward to.

Let's get started man, I'm sure tons of plucky Canucks will be happy to see it and help work towards the goal! :-)
